Awards

Once again our awards will feature the large and very tasty cookies made especially for us by the Kimberley Alpine Bakery.

Terrain

Open forest with a mix of medium size, rolling hills, ponds and some very detailed sections.   Deer, moose and black bears are found in this part of BC .

The area for the Classic and Middle distance events are adjacent to the Sylvan Lake map in an area of very detailed terrain.  This area, combined with areas of the existing map are all being mapped by Alar Ruutopold especially for this event.

Award's Feast

Don't miss the this year's Award's Feast to be held at Historic Fort Steele in the old hotel.  This will be a full buffet with a good variety to suit all tastes and palates.  Prior to the buffet you are invited to tour Historic Fort Steele including a chance to pan for gold or ride the historic train.

Junior Training Camp

In conjunction with Spring Run-off 2007 Orienteering BC will be offering an informal training camp for juniors.  The camp is designed to allow juniors to stay with their families but to participate in training and skills activities with our team of coaches in the periods surrounding the actual races.  Heading up the camp will be Meagan Rance.  The fee is $25 for the weekend.  This camp is open to all juniors, under 18, not just those from BC.  Orienteering BC juniors may apply for travel funding assistance.  Full details are available and application forms are available from the Orienteeringbc website.
